Editing Pages

All pages have mockups of a select policy in an employee handbook. All underlined text can be replaced with your company’s name, objectives, or statements — in addition to adding more information and blocks.

Editing Page Directory Block

There is a synced block (red outlined block) with a Page Directory toggle inside Welcome and all other pages in the handbook. This is the original synced block that should not be deleted.

What synced blocks allow is for the editing in one synced block to make changes in all pages where the block resides.

For example, you can change elements of the Page Directory toggle inside Attendance and the same block will update in Mission, Overview, Policies / Practices, Harassment, etc.

Create a new page that syncs automatically to the synced block in the Welcome page through the new page template in Employee Handbook:

Adding Policies To Policy Index

The first 1-2 paragraphs in each policy page have a red outline — they are synced blocks. These synced blocks are copied and pasted into Policy Index with a read more link back to the original page. Of course, you can also navigate back to the original page via the block menu.

  1. For every new page create a synced block to place your summary inside (type → /sync).
  2. After the summary is written, navigate to the copy and sync button, then travel to Policy Index to paste the block inside. Now, whenever a policy summary is changed, it will also change in the index.
